چکیده
Introduction: Xanthelasma is a common form of skin xanthoma. It due to abnormal lipid deposition in the eyelid skin. thought be sign dyslipidemia, one important risk factors atherosclerosis. The atherosclerotic disease can determined using atherogenic index plasma (AIP) parameters. AIP mathematical relationship between TG and HDL logs (TG/HDL). Thus, this study aimed determine xanthelasma palpebrarum at Polyclinic Department Dermatology Venereology, Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital. Methods: This was an observational analytic with cross-sectional approach involving 50 patients palpebral controls based on inclusion exclusion criteria. Gender, age, profile values (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), Atherogenic Index Plasma were recorded. Laboratory tests measured assessment triglyceride (TG) high-density (HDL) levels Cobas 6000 C501 device. An independent t-test conducted assess research variables, it declared significant p < 0.001.Results: majority occurred women (94%), mean value subjects higher 50-59 year age group (42%). (total cholesterol, triglycerides) tends increase compared without palpebrarum. results obtained logistic regression test showed that there (p 0.001). In palpebrarum, highest proportion IAP > 0.21 (high risk), experiencing 7.714 times greater than 0.11 (low risk). Conclusion: There
